—Make You Feel My Love
This song is dedicated to Monica Muyot.
So sorry I wasn’t able to reply to your message. Truth is, I just saw it a couple of hours ago while I was on my way back home. I was thinking of what to say, but then I guess I was too tired so I fell asleep. My deepest apologies.
I don’t know the exact details yet, but I know that you’ve been going through a lot. I would’ve wanted to keep this short and say “I told you so”, but I couldn’t afford to be brutally frank given the situation. As a matter of fact, I just want to hug you and let you know that I’m here. Too bad I can’t do that since we’re miles away, so I’ve decided to dedicate a song for you.
Do you remember the time when I was experiencing the same thing? We just finished talking, and were walking at the ground floor of the La Salle Hall when you blurted this out of the blue - “Hey, Xing. Listen to this. Fix You by Coldplay. For you.” Those four simple sentences meant a lot to me, and the song dedication was an added bonus. I figured it’s about time that I repay you for that.
Be strong, Monica. Always remember that you are loved.

Always wonderful to see friends unchanged through the years. Words can never explain how much love I have for these people.
Congratulations for a wonderful year, Lasallian Ambassadors 2K11!
Since I haven’t been posting anything for so long, here’s a little snippet of what I have been up to lately.
One of the better parts of working for Milo is getting to go on well deserved vacations business unit plannings to brainstorm and jumpstart a great year ahead. We’ve got work, food, and of course - the beach.

All in all, it was a very productive planning session. Let’s go, Bev Titans!
Check out this new ad. Mind the fine print: This value-driven campaign promotes the Philippines to its own people, many of whom opt to travel abroad unaware of their country’s beauty. “Tara na,” means “Let’s go.”
This is is just reblog worthy.
I say El Nido is even more beautiful than Phuket. No kidding.

I haven’t blogged for ages due to my hectic schedule but this video deserves its props. Remember my buddy, Anna? Just to refresh your memory, she’s the one who made the Super Bass cover I’ve featured before.
Now here’s her take on Chris Brown’s Look At Me Now. Definitely gives new meaning to homegrown Filipina rappers. Good job, A!

I rarely reblog but this one’s just a winner! Laughed my heart out.
Indeed, only in the Philippines.

Now this track’s a take of one of my best friends, Anna. It’s not a whiny cover made by some non-wisecracking fool on Youtube. Instead, it’s a shout-out to that smart and fun boy whom she’ll eventually marry. It’s sweet, but dope. You’ve gotta listen to it.
Check out http://annatantum.tumblr.com for, hopefully, more music.
Props to Karmin for their super dope cover of Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass. Just downloaded this track fresh from their channel. This thing’ll be on loop for quite some time, I can smell it.
It’s not hard to fall in love with this cover. Looking forward to hearing more from them. Enjoy!

Presenting the late Frank O’Hara’s Having A Coke With You (1966).
I’m not a fan of Coke, or any kind of soda for that matter. Lifted this up from the movie Beastly which I caught earlier this afternoon. It was alright with its modern take on the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast, but I was more drawn to this poem than to Alex Pettyfer’s abs. Curious, I googled O’Hara’s creation to get a copy and read its history.
I must admit, I miss writing poetry. No, I think I miss writing in general. Must get back to it soon.
